As a child, Jennifer Northup, founder of Silver Spoon, loved spending time at her great-grandmothers charming inn, The Crystal Palace, nestled in the quiet countryside on the coast of Sydney, Australia. The Crystal Palace, know for its gourmet meals served on fine bone china with antique English silverware, nurtured in Jennifer a lifelong fascination with antiques and vintage jewelry.
Jennifer particularly loved her great-grandmothers collection of old English silverware.Following her inheritance of the collection, Jennifer was inspired to design a line of jewelry and accessories based on the heirloom patterns of the 1880s. This unique line continues to bring the elegance of the past to our modern times.
