The company’s products feature elegant and original jewelry lines. Featured lines included a wide range of vintage-inspired designs that can be worn as jewelry or displayed as art.
Robin Goodfellow Designs strives to provide a unique, handmade in the U.S.A product at an affordable cost. The company believes in buying and selling jewelry in the United States to support the national economy and artisan trade. Also important to the company is female leadership, providing opportunities for women to work together creating better futures for themselves and their families.
Artist Robin Satterthwaite is inspired by dance, literature, music and the ethereal elements of the natural world around her. She and her family make their home in the woods along the shores of Lake Michigan. This is where Robin’s artistic talents have been cherished and applauded by hundreds of enthusiastic supporters throughout the years. As director of a children’s ballet company, Robin has been the creative force behind dozens of original dance productions – where her signature style of elegance and whimsy were always evident. Her creativity shines through her roles as a storyteller, choreographer, staging director and costume designer.
Robin brings that same graceful originality to each piece of jewelry and art she creates for Robin Goodfellow Design. Her natural choreography governs the careful placement and interplay of each rhinestone, pearl, glass, crystal and metal bead. Each piece holds within it joy, dance, and laughter.
Growing up in Dallas Texas, Robin’s life was infused with art. Many of her childhood days were spent playing in the rehearsal halls of the Dallas Civic Opera where her mother worked as the Italian interpreter. Her father, owner of an art gallery and brilliant classical pianist would lull Robin and her sisters to sleep or gently wake them the refrain of his beautiful piano playing. Her own studies include youthful years of ballet and music leading to choreography, costume design, poetry, painting and jewelry making as an adult. Robin credits the indelible threads of her rich upbringing to her deep love of theater, art and music.
Robin says that creating jewelry is expressing love and laughter.
Julie Lefler grew up a native of West Michigan in a family of entrepreneurial spirit and the confidence to succeed in business. Julie has followed her passion: expertly assembling a company of skilled professionals at Robin Goodfellow Designs – a company she was inspired to develop as a business built around fine art. The art at the heart of the company is the unique and exquisitely fashioned jewelry created by local artists with head-designer Robin Satterthwaite.
For years while their children attended school together, Julie watched Robin create increasingly intricate and beautiful jewelry, even taking a jewelry making class with friends in Robin’s basement. Each time Julie wore a piece of Robin’s jewelry, people would bestow her with compliments and a desire to know more about the artist. One such admirer encouraged Julie to invite Robin to attend an art fair. And together they did.
Julie is excited to work with smart and dedicated women and to share the beauty of wearable art with as many people as possible. Julie shares the desire to grow the company purposefully with a focus on what can be given back to the world and its people.View All Items By Robin Goodfellow Designs Custom Design Center
